Mahalakshmi

As we all know None of Gods in any religion is visible to human beings for some unknown reasons(Million Dollar Question). But there always exceptional cases like Jesus or Prophet Mohammed or Moses to see GOD but it is unique case. In Hindu realm also, some of the beings have seen God directly as eye to eye.There are so many instance or so many happenings that leads to story of Gods Appearance. I heard from one of the Pandits from Agastiyar Jyothi nilayam that some gods will get easily appeased and show their presence immedietly.

For instance, the God Shiva. It was told that if you love him earnestly(Liking him for him and expects nothing in return as like a Grandparent loving the GrandChildern for the sake of the love itself.They love them even if they dont get anything in return), he will come to you at no time. There are so many so stories in South India(TamilNadu) that shiva appeared before him or her or it or whatever.

But there are certain Gods whom even if you love them earnestly, they will not appear before you. Whatever you do for the sake of them, they will just smile and watch you behind the doors making sure you are not aware of their presence.Swami(Sivananda) once told that the Lord Dakshinamoorthy will not appear at whatever cost.

Once such god is Mahalakshmi(Others being Saraswati,Murugan,Perumal,Dakshinamoorthy). Mahalakhmi is the god of Wealth in Hindu Perspective. She is the bestower of Wealth and Prosperity. She is Consort of Lord Vishnu who is Maya or Delusion Creator responsible for procreation of this life.

But there are some time even Mahalakshmi appears to some people. But if she appears, it will be followed by Rain of Gold. In Tamil language, it is called Pon Malai(Mazhai).

First one being,Doyen of Vishisthadvaita Philosophy of Veda(Holy Scriptures of Hindu), Sri Vendante Desigan. It seems he is a great pundit on Upanishad which is end sections of Vedas, the holy transcript of Hindus. Once, some of his opponents(He did not felt any and it is not mutual) were planning to denigrate his fame from public and court of king. So, they send a Dunce Brahmin to him for getting Gold from Sri Vendante Desigan. But as we know our Star is as pauper as begger. As soon the Stupid Brahmin told his intention of arrival, Sri Vendante Desigan came to aware the foul play of miscreants. Instead of Banishing or Scourging him to inferno, Sri Vendante Desigan felt compassion for brahmin for his innocence and prayed to Lord Mahalakshmi and composed what is called SreeSthuthi of Lakshmi and sung on her. On the completion of the song, Gold Rain has fallen upon the brahmin and it almost drowned him.

Second one being,Stalwart of Advaita Philosophy of Veda(Holy Scriptures of Hindu), Sri Vidyaranyar. It means Vidya= Knowledge,Aranyar - Forest Dwelver. Hope you understood. Man who knew nook and corner of Forest Called Veda(Holy Scriptures of Hindu). He was a Brahmin by birth and pauper in extreme case. It is told that he could not have basic amenities to survive in this world but still manage to learn all parts of Vedas(Holy Scriptures of Hindu). So it was told he did Tapas(Penance) or Japas(Recitation of Holy mantras) towards Mahalakshmi. It was kind of Long Years and Finally Lord Mahalakshmi appeared before him.

Lord Mahalakshmi was ready to give the boon.But she told that Sri Vidyaranyar can be rich only in the next birth.Sri Vidyanar is not ready to wait till next birth and waiting his whole life to meet his death. So, he chose of path of Renounciation(Sannyasa). It is considered in Hindu Perspective that if you are taking Sanyasa, you are reborn and Sri Vidyaranyar took Sannyasa path.

But then Sri Vidyaranyar realised that A Sanyasi(Renouncer) cannot touch Money and horde money. So he cried on what to do. Lord Mahalaksmi advised him to use the Money for Vedic Resurgation on South India. This happened around 1356 CE in Southern India(Telungana and Karnataka State)

Muhammad bin Tughlaq was persian king who invaded entire South India(TamilNadu,Andrapradesh,Telungana,Kerala,Karanataka and some parts of Maharastra). Bukka raya and Hakka raya were 2 sheperds from Warrangal Area(Maharashtra).They were hiding from Muhammed Bin Tughlaq due to certain historical issues. So,Vidyaranyar approached Bukka and Hakka and with the money given by Mahalakshmi they created a Vijayanagar Dynasty. Instead of attacking the Northern India where Muhammed bin Tughlaq were living, They attacked South India and slowly the captured each state one by one and completely brought the entire South India in their control.

This is very reason were there were many Telugu Language Speaking families in all over Southern India. Even you can find Telugu Language Speaking families in Interior Part of TamilNadu(Tamil Language Speaking families) which is the Southern Most part of South India.I saw in one village near Thirunelveli(Interior of TamilNadu) where entire community were Telugu speaking people. Bukka and Hakka were Telugu/Kannada Language Speaking background as both language share the same script.

Rest is history and once again the Vedic Tradition started in the South India.

One thing to be noted is the General Kambanna Udaiyar(Udaiyar is Kannada Language Speaking Community) who as per the directions of Bukka and Hakka, Leaded the army and fight against the other generals of Muhammad bin Tughlaq staged in South India. His wife Ganga Devi is the Sanskrit Pandit and she travelled along with him and documented the scenario as it is in a Literature called Ganga Devi Madura Vijayams
