Swami was born in Kerela in austere family, whom were strict vegetarians by order. His earlier name was krishnan nair. Swami as a regular boy learned Malayalam and Sanskrit and even completed priliminary certification. Once Swami family visited palani to visit lord Dhandayuthapani to get his grace as it is common for most Keralites to visit palani. It happend to them, there, they met sadhu swamy whom lived in a mutt near temple. They spent some time there making them to show their son to Sadhu Swamy. Sadhu Swamy after seeing the boy realized he was a prodigy.

Sadhu Swamy have requested the parents to give the boy to him as a sishya/disciple. The parents openly refused the request of Sadhu Swamy.The sadhu swamy informed the boy will leave them and would come to him one day.This happended when swami was at the age of 9.

Time has started to play its role. Some miracle took place to the boy like a occuring of vision directing him to palani or pain in the head and heresy commanding him to walk to palani finding for a cure. Eventually boy has left their parents and went to sadhu swamy. Alerted by the situation that swami has left the house,swami parents searched the boy all over the place and finally thought he might have reached the place of Sadhu Swamy. Eventually, parents went to palani and reached to found the boy was actually with Sadhu Swamy. Parents have insisted the boy to come home but the boy refused immedietly. The persistance of the parents request did not yield fruitful results and parent finally accepted the truth of separation.Parents left palani and went back home leaving the boy in palani.

Boy became ardent disciple of sadhu Swamy and started to live monastry life. The Great enlightment process has started to incept as boy begin to get spiritual practices from the sadhu swamy. Days were rolling by to intensify the enlightment of swamy with his age and continuous practice. Years rolled by and boy matured to become of full sanyasi and became a big batton.

Years went by and time came for sadhu swamy to disolve himself for eloping with god. He prepared his team for departure and winding himself to mukthi.A drop of tear have merged with a ocean. Sadhu swami mukthi have caused bigger void among the disciple sanyasins and hence all were solemnly alone. Swami Sivananda was 32 years of age at that time and it took some time for all to orient to normal life. Swami was staying in the mutt for some time continuing his daily works. It was told that Swami had a vision of Lord Dhandhayuthapi.In his dream, Lord Dhandayuthapani ordered Swami to go south east and meet a person(Name not known) whom is post master in Mandapam or thangachimadam. Swami wake up from his dream and immedietly took note of the person name in a small diary. Now, pollens from the trees has to grow in some place,Hence the swami sivananda,the pollen from the tree Sadhu swamy has fled the place to find his place to grow and branch out.

Swamy have started his spiritual hunting like a jungamas and fled to different places. At some point of time,at one place,probaly near mandapam near Rameshwaram, it happened for him to get invited by person belonging to thangachimadam village. It was told by disciple Ramamurthy, Person were his father was actually were preparing for pilgrimage to sabarimala and were performing group prayer. The person was working as a post master in Mandapam or Thangachimadam area.He met swamy in mandapam station and was naturally attracted towards Swami.He inquired Swami on his travel for which Swami replied he was to travel south.The post master took a ticket for Swami as he(Swami)can not afford to buy a ticket.The post master and Swami was travelling together in the train and was discussing on things. Swami,later inquired about the name of the person he has noted in his diary to the post master and found the person is none other than the post master. Person has invited him to his house annd Swamy eventually accepted the invitation and came to disciple house to make his initial part of life of communicating with normal people to incept or begin.post master son ramamurthy is still living in thangachimadam.

Swamy went to the disciple house and accepted the hospitality of the disciple to honour the love showed by the them. The disciple requested the swami to stay with them for some time as it divine pleasure for human to get associated with enlightened guru.Swamy stayed with them for some time intially accepting the love .

Even though swami was with the family, swamy remained intact with his spiritual practice and vowed to remain unattached with earthly things.Only common things was love between him and the family. Swami used to meditate daily 3 hours in separate room alloted to him by family members for was spiritual sadhana. The family used to keep food in the room for swamy while he was meditating for longer hours.Mostly,it was not touched by him and this scenario is a regular occurance.Days have passed and swamy started helping the family by providing physicall assistance to them like accompanying to fields,plouging,harvesting and doing small chores like doing vegetation ...etc.Thus swamy become known to surrounding families and also to the village of thangachimadam itself.

Years rolled by and swami started to interact with the people of thangachimadam more closely and affectionately. He helped them on occasion in the village families to commence fruitfully.Some of activities are like providing auspicious time for a ventures like starting a business,commensing harvesting,searching for bride/bridegroom ...etc People of thangachimadam came to know his nature as a revered spiritual guru and modest divine person available with them to support them on occasions.

Lord Murugan Temple available in thangachimadam was only a few worshipping place available in the village and people of thangachimadam was ardently trying to improve the worshipping place by constructing ,expanding and making festivals as part for spiritual celebrations done by hindu people. Lord Murugan Temple deserves a separate voyage of history for readers to read and know. The Maintenance of Murugan temple was a laborous task and villagers realiased the task was too big to be done by them. So they approached swami to offer his service to the murugan temple and make the people to get the blessing of the Lord Murugan by performing the glorious events like shasti pooja, kirthikai ... etc related to Lord Murugan Temple. Hope the purpose of swamy visiting thangachimadam is about to reach its culmination.

Swami started to imbibe with the temple life and work done daily. Swami tried his level best to perform his service and was living in the temple completely attaching with its monastry life as years went by. Swami became the village member and considered to be one among them participating in all activities,phases and events occured in the village.Most of life time was thus spent in rameshwaram. Some people like ramamurthy describes that he actually was working for the welfare of the village people as ordered by Lord Murugan. The brief history of this period is currently not available and makes precious part of the memories of him

Now,a Person know as Radhakrishnan was working in Public Works Department of TamilNadu Government and his nature of work is related to construction.He was working with TN Government in various places and offering his service to various site location in TamilNadu. Once he was in working Thangachimadam it happened to meet Swamy and are had a normal acquantance .Then slowly their interactions occured frequently and became regular. It went like this for some time and one one day swamy informed Radhakrishnan that he would come to his house in evening.Hearing this Radhakrishnan, started preparing his house and cleansing them neatly and making them tidy.It was evening time and it was about the time to recieve swamy when radhakrishnan daughter was cleansing the utensils.All of sudden a snake appears before her and was flagging before her.The daughter along with family was stulltified with prescence of snake. Contemporarly, Swami entered the house of Radhakrishnan and approached the snake with a stick. He drawn a line narrow to the postion of snake and speaking to it normally. Snake,after this action left the place slowly and faded away from the eyes of house members. Radhakrishnan started to welcome swamy after witnessing this fear state but swamy informed him that he would come to his house again some other day. Now, Radhakrishan family was deeply involved with swamy and kept his acquantace for longer period. The family was always in tact with swamy even after they moved to chennai.Interaction took place regularly and naturally swami visited the house of radhakrishna frequently. Eventually swamy started meeting some the collegues of radhakrisnan as all of them came to know his divinity. Now began new cycles of history with this introduction.

Now, collegues of radhakrishnan started showing their love and affection with swami by keeping their interactions regularly These families started visiting swami in thangachimadam and also inviting them to their houses in chennai. Most probably it is year 1980 to 1985 where swamy was introduced to most of these families in chennai but is only assumption. Most of the answers like, which family interacts to him mostly,with which family he was staying in chennai, purpose of intial visit,list of families already availabe in chennai from thangachimadam,miracles done by him,how he used to travel to chennai,other families from thangachimadam staying in chennai was almost not available. But it is known that Radhakrishnan family was more close to him and swamy used to stay in their house generally. The interaction with the other families in chennai started growing rapidly and swami even started staying with other families like Somu ...etc. and making them to feel happy.

Flowers do not summon bees to get honey from them, bees will come to them some how. A Sadguru doesnt require vouche for his state,devotees will come to know them by some how. Eventually, more number of collegues, families, relatives, friends, neigbours of these people started to become disciple of swami and numbers were growing exponentialy. It has became a habbit that disciples would pound the place of swamy in chennai. The disciples would post their perils to swami expecting solvent for problems. Swamy would address or hear the problems of the people and would provide some penitent to be done like paying visit to some temple or diety regulary on particular day in a week continuosly for a period,performing archanas to some god,to chant some tamil scriptures, to offer food to paupers, lighting lamps to deity,demi gods on special occasions, travelling to pilgrimmages which are too many consolidate. It is evident from living proofs to authenticate that these solutions have saved them from their problems.

Process of swami shultting between Chennai and Thangachimadam so often and meeting with disciples. So many years went like this and this was common occurance in his life to meet disciple to sovle the problems and providing guidance.

Time has made swamy to reach chennai to remain there till his last days to solve the bigger problems of some families. Swamy used to stay in house of disciple like Somu,Radhakrishnan ... etc and was remaining there for his last days. Last days of swami have raised so much interesting anectodes and those were like swami and somu lying down in night and discussing on all topics like incidents,people,relationship,god,verity and spirituality.Most of the information on swamy was retrieved from these conversations. Now, most families started showing kinship to swami and started treating him as their family members. For instance, Subburaj family started considering swamy as one among them.Somu family considered feeling swamy as an Immortal. Vijaya progenies used to play with swamy by pulling his beard,gigling him and commenting on him. He will be more like Sanctimommy to these families and were showing platonic love to all. He ate with them, slept with them and laugh with them, make fun with them, frivoling with them and were one with them. It came know in thethangachimadam and its surrounding places, children of some families used to speak colloquially with swamy with out any apprehension on a divine guru and even makes petty quarel. Most people commonly likes his company with out any creed and felt some inclinations.

Finally, last moment of swami has come to its closure and swamy though has not disclosed has provided insinuations about his departure.Some of the incidents were he gave his vipoothy bag to somu which he never failed to mislay from his body in his whole life, informing his disciples like subburaj to take him a photo during his travel to nandeeswaram and said it will be last photo of him,he informing disciple vijaya that almighty has informed him not to come northern temples which he usually do at every 6 months. On One fine day of September 13 2005 swamy showed no of sign of it when he actually attempted to releive from his body and made the shock so quick to react or provide efforts to hold him.It was around time 7.30 am when he suffered accute pain internally and was started to squirm by keeping hands on his chest .He does not seemed to be alarmed and was just commanding somu to bring vipoothy. rejecting the request of reaching doctors for medication and told only the words "Murugan varan"(Lord Muruga is coming) when appealed for medication by disciple somu.The disciple somu was frienzied to see the scenario and was running frenetically not knowing what to do. Swamy was keep on repeating this sentence holding his hands to the window of the house and seeing outside.The aggravation of the pain and his exclamation of Lord Murugan name were rapidly increasing and his face seeing the window out side with heavy breath as if to welcome some one. At zenith of this situation,he fell down silently keeping his eyes closed and passed away. Somu the only disciple with swamy's last moments have passed information to all and it was more than a calamity for disciples to hear. Disciples started to arrive at Somu's house and almost every one mustered to Somu house to lament and mourn. It was a scene of a bunch of whirl wind reaching the shore to bust in to tears. The old Mambalam street in Saidapet- Chennai have witnessed a amazement on seeing 100s of people crying for simple sanyasi and uproar created when his body was placed in a van to move to thangachimadam. Most disciple came to demise dont know each other and still one thing they did common is to tear.

Previous day to demise,he visited temples near Andiyarkuppam where Pamban Swamigal, greatest considered saint in tamil nadu visited this and departed from earth. Once when Dhevas,Asuras using the Vasuki, Mandhara trying to get Amrutham from the Kseerabthi (milk ocean), each individual took the fruits and richness of churning the ocean as it came one by one. Some took Iravatham, Some took Karpagam and Some took Chinthamani But when poison came out of ocean, no body was ready to take it.Only Lord Siva took this and only this,leaving all fruits of wellness and it reminds of swami taking poisons for others.

Physical presence of swami has left away from his disciples .The love,affection and memories are still remaining fresh as ever.Every 13 September is remembered upon on all devotees
